Operations

Cultivation and production of shrimp (Penaeus Vannamei) for human consumption. Initially, the larvae will be imported. In a second phase larvae will be grown in Aruba.

The sustainable cultivation of shrimp (Penaeus Vannamei) in Aruba with approximate annual capacity of 60,480 kilograms through 10,000 square meters of cultivation area, in favor of optimal environmental conditions which supports the consistency of larvae growth in our intensive cultivation system. The possibility to scale-up cultivation is there only when accessible to more land by governmental officials.

Aruba - Based Cultivation

Aruba provides optimal conditions from its environment, with excellent water quality, biosecurity, and climate, making it possible for year-round shrimp cultivation.

The technology used is economically viable, environmentally sustainable, and socially acceptable. The technique up cycles through closing the nutrient loop.

Fewer resources are used to get food and protein through aquaculture using sustainable practices.

Proximity to the United States of America, South America, and the Caribbean.

Part of The Netherlands.

Competitive cost advantages and excellent market prices.

Possible to cultivate, process, and sale in local market with promising steps towards exporting to international markets.

CULTIVATION, PRODUCTION AND HARVEST

Intensive culture of shrimps’ cultivation on land ponds in compliance with governmental departments standards.

OUR  PRODUCT

We will be producing our own shrimps in the first phase of the project to the local market where the larvae will be imported at the beginning. In another phase we will grow our own larvae for shrimp production, and later on export larvae and shrimps to the international market under the brand name Bralmes Shrimp.

RESEARCH STRATEGY

Identify and develop improvements in technology and operations to keep striving for reduction of food costs while maintaining the health and quality of our product.

Research, identify and develop a technology to maintain our product fresh longer.

Use local students to work as interns to provide them with the knowledge and practical experience in the cultivation of shrimps, while hoping and incentivizing them to follow studies and/or courses where they can later come back to Aruba and grow with the company and as professionals in aquaculture.

Through technology and experience develop genetically improved and acclimatized shrimps to serve other markets.
